As long as I can remember I have had to be creative, it is my very being it is who I am. My art…creativity is forever changing. To have a visual voice, finding the peace within.

I am always finding new ways of working, to feed my creative drive, trying to produce something different unique that has never been seen, heard, felt before. Within my practice I use all forms/techniques of art to do this, what will fit the outcome best. I love to mix basic element’s up…pencil, paint, clay, stich, film, photos. Sometimes it works and at times it doesn’t, but that is the part of the creative process of which I love. Things within my life have change so much over the past few years. I have always found art to be my pathway through these hard times. I use these emotional times to feed my work. I am in another changing stage of creativity and wish to explore new levels of creating work. Who knows where this will take me.

Over the past 30 years I have worked within theatre/films in the South West, London, Europe and China. As a designer, creator and maker in costume. I trained in London and in Cornwall. Through my costuem work, I wish to take the viewer to another place and time, right in front of their eyes. I just adores fabric, when it is sculpted into a garment a voice can be heard, of who, what, when, where, why and how. The characters come to life within, a period of time. A partnership is born between space, costume and actor, actor to audience.

In the past 15 years I have work in communities where the horse is strongly embedded in everyday life, this then becomes the body of work of documenting, in visual images, film and artwork. I have come in to contact with some wonderful, interesting and inspiring people of all ages, with so much to tell and to learn from. The power of the Arts has always astounded me in how it can bring people together. Creating such emotion that can only be establish with the use of the Arts. I love to be a part of this, sharing with others building confidence within art.
