Judy is an Environmental Artist concerned with increasing awareness of our place in nature and the world, and what we can do to live more sustainably.

After a successful career in the NHS, she took up a long-held passion for art, studying for a Foundation Degree in Fine Art in Exeter and subsequently a BA at Arts University Plymouth graduating with distinction in 2019.

Judy enjoys working in many different media, including painting, printmaking and ceramics, often in an experimental way, and relishes learning new techniques. Her work includes the performance 'Drowning in Plastic', the result of a dream in which she was buried in plastic rubbish. She subsequently produced a short film 'Unnatural Tides' which formed part of her Degree Show installation and has since been shown at Plymouth Arts Cinema and the Jal Katha Film Festival in 2020. She led the project 'All At Sea' with Rhizome Artists Collective for Plymouth Arts Weekender Sept 2020 at the iconic Tinside Lido. In 2022 she collaborated with Kate Crawfurd on a major funded project 'Waste of Our Time' to highlight issues with plastic pollution, culminating in workshops, performance, an exhibition and a film. She has shown work at the RWA and numerous local exhibitions.

She is a member of Drawn to the Valley, Rhizome Artists Collective, CAMP and The Westcountry Potters Association.
