Deborah Hobbs

I am a mixed media artist who has been painting for 20 years. I learnt to paint through outdoor courses on North Dartmoor painting in all seasons and all weathers. Being out in the wild landscape has inspired my love for the natural world, from moorland to sea and the fields and hedgerows in between. Wellies and waterproofs have become essential kit.
Back in the studio I work from sketches and notes taken on location and with a sprinkling of serendipity produce paintings which evoke a sense of atmosphere and place.
