Original, unique works exploring the use of colour, pattern, texture and stitch to incorporate into my creative pieces.
I am inspired by the beautiful countryside that surrounds us and I love the varied forms in nature - trees, flowers, wildlife, landscapes and gardens.
I have fun exploring different media in my work. The challenge of translating my ideas into a 2D form using media which can range from pastel, acrylic, collage, drypoint and mixed media.
The use of mixed media is particularly exciting as you are never quite sure what is going to appear! I also explore the use of pure line in my print works.
Many of my pieces demonstrate my long standing love of stitch, by hand or machine - and together with modern techniques, I try to explore the incorporation of this in many of my innovative works.
Visitors to my workspace comment on the varied range of my work and I relish the challenge of taking on something new.
