Sarah Smalldon

I am an artist and illustrator based in Plymouth in glorious sunny South Devon. I've been an artist since I was 5 :)... but In Lockdown I rented a studio to make the switch from my illustration career to full time painting. Never Grey, I like to produce unashamedly cheerful art and I'm guided intuitively by my love of bright colour, pattern and bold illustrative lines.

I take my inspiration simply from the things that make me happy and look for the joy in the world around me each day, from a rosy bouquet of flowers to a tin of sardines. I want my work to spread smiles and positivity through my unconventional world of colour.
I graduated from the Arts University Plymouth in 2011 with a first class honours degree in Fine Art. I was also very grateful to win the Ben Hartley award in the same year.
