Anne Blackwell-Fox

Living in Plymouth and growing up near fields and woods, has created an indelible impression that remains as strong as ever today and is reflected in my current work. I paint riverbanks, water reflections and woodland scenes which are inspired locally by the places I love, including, The River Plym in Devon, the River Tamar and the River Fal in Cornwall. I have also been inspired by my travels and love to capture images of the places I have visited abroad. The ever changing light, shadows of trees and movement of water become a meditative experience and my intention is to capture the essence of a place, at that moment in time.
Studying at University College Falmouth in 2011, I gained an BA Honours Degree in Fine Art. Since then I have continued to develop my paintings through my love of our natural world.
