Matthew has been a ballpoint pen artist since his early teenage years in the mid nineties in Nottinghamshire. He started doodling on his exercise books with bic pens at the age of fourteen whilst in class at school. He experimented with oil paints, ...

He experimented with oil paints, charcoal and other mediums during art lessons but always reverted back to ballpoint pens and later photography which both work hand in hand for him.

Until now, ballpoint pen art and photography have been very passionate hobbies for Matthew, but due to some unfortunate events Matthew and his wife Nichola have decided to make the positive move to Tavistock, Devon which is on the edge of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park and brimming with so much creative talent to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an Artist.

Matthew has always been an artist that has kept his work very private and stayed away from the art world until now, but his friends and family have encouraged him to showcase and promote his talent.
